Germany, Luftwaffe. A Luftwaffe Front Flying Clasp For Transport Pilots, Gold Grade Auction silver (without ribbon)(Frontflugspange fr Transport und Luftlandflieger, in Gold). Instituted on 30. 1. 1941 by Reichsmarshall Hermann Gring. (Issued 1941 1945). Constructed of gilded zink, the obverse with a central laurel wreath with a Luftwaffe eagle clutching a swastika in the centre, with nine oak leaves on either side of the wreath, the reverse plain, with a horizontal banjo style tapered pinback, with a sheet metal hinge, and a flat wire catch, measuring 77. 03 mm
