GAUNT & SON Ltd LONDON" and stamped "217405" on the reverse, 39 mm x 44 mm, vertical pinback); and Small Badge (white metal, marked "1916" on the obverse, 21. 2 mm x 24 mm, push pin, repair evident on the reverse). Fine. Footnote: On War Service badges were worn by civilians during the First World War, in order to indicate that the person wearing it was on engaged in important war work. Several of these badges
